See what PlayGround-NY Writers and Company are up to this January!

Bailey Jordan Garcia has a lot coming up in the New Year! First, their piece This Is Beauty (created for PlayGround) will be in Heller Theatre’s Second Sunday Serials on January 14th. They are also co-producing a reading of Roni Ragone’s Up Strung Down on January 24th at The Tank. Lastly, Purple Light Productions will be putting on a 15-minute excerpt of Bailey’s full-length play, Pedo-Punchers as a part of their “Swatch: Samples from Rising Theatrical Works” Series on January 28th at 7pm at the Producer’s Club! Lori Goodman’s Tribal Attire will be produced as part of the 22nd Annual Pick of the Vine Festival by Little Fish Theatre in San Pedro, CA, Jan.19-Feb. 4, 2024. Reach out to boxoffice@littlefishtheatre.org for tickets.

Bram Hartman’s short play, Come on, Ref! will premiere at the 8 Tens @ 8 Short Play Festival at the Santa Cruz Actors’ Theatre in Santa Cruz, CA from January 19 – February 18. Tickets are available here.

Avery Ingvarson is writing new musical, Isabella of Boston with Neil Klein that is premiering at The Green Room 42 on January 29th.

Jully Lee will be in the staged reading of EMPTY RIDE by Keiko Green, directed by Jesca Prudencio at The Old Globe in San Diego on January 14 as part of The Old Globe’s “Powers New Voices Festival.” Tickets are available here.

Danielle E. Moore’s Audrey: The New Musical, a concept musical inspired by the life of actress and activist Audrey Hepburn, was named a finalist for the 2024 Florida Festival of New Musicals, which will take place at the Winter Park Playhouse in June 2024. More information here.
