Austin Ku (2024 PlayGround NY Directing Apprentice) will be co-directing a new play, Parity, for Pan Asian Rep’s NuWorks 2024 Festival, written by PlayGround member Howard Ho, and starring/co-director PlayGround member Jully Lee! There will be two fully staged performances at Theatre Row Off-Broadway at the end of June. More info here!
Howard Ho will be presenting his new play, PARITY, at the Pan Asian Rep NuWorks Festival. PARITY is about the life and times of Chien-Shiung Wu, a Chinese-American physicist who was part of the Manhattan Project. It will star Jully Lee, and is co-directed by Jully Lee and Austin Ku. Wu’s story was partially the basis for JIE JIE, which was Ho’s play from this year’s Best of the Best of Playground. Performances will be June 23rd, 3pm and June 28th, 7pm at Theatre Row. Dana Leslie Goldstein‘s short play, POWERLESS (originally written for PlayGround-NY), will be presented at the annual “A Staged Affair” fundraising event in Portland, ME. Dana’s play FRAGILE will be produced in Black Theatre Troupe of Upstate New York’s One-Act Jamboree.
Uma Incrocci’s play, To Keep and Bear, will be part of the Cleveland Playhouse’s New Ground Theatre Festival. More info here!

Natalie Sacks’ latest play, An Interpretation of Anna, will be having a staged reading on June 16 at Spit & Vigor in New York City. The play follows Anna Freud, Sigmund Freud’s daughter and a psychoanalyst in her own right, in the years leading up to the Nazi annexation of Austria. Tickets are available for both the live reading and a livestream viewable after the performance here!
Katie Ryan‘s short play, WHAT’S YOUR NUMBER?, will be presented by the New Threads Theatre company and Redlands Theatre Festival in Riverside California on July 16th.
Bram Hartman was selected as a 2024 Lambda Literary Fellow in Playwriting. He’ll attend the 2024 Writers Retreat for Emerging LGBT Voices later this summer studying Playwriting under Roger Q. Mason.
