See what PlayGround-NY Writers and Company are up to this July!

Dana Leslie Goldstein’s play FRAGILE will be included in The Road Theatre Company’s Summer Play Festival in L.A. in late July. Dana’s short play FRIENDLY SKIES, which was part of Best of PlayGround in 2023, will be produced by The Gulfport Players in Tampa, FL. And HELLO (the non-musical version of HELLO IN THERE, which won PlayGround’s People’s Choice Award this past February), will be part of the East/West PlayFest in Connecticut.

Lyra Nalan’s new TYA play, The Drought Girl, will be featured at the 2025 South Carolina New Play Festival (SCNPF) in Greenville, SC. The reading is scheduled for Sunday, August 10, at 3 PM at the South Carolina Children’s Theatre. ​

Katie Brown will be directing an original play, THE THIRD TRACK at The Tank from July 23-31st. The show has been developed and devised by an ensemble of young women of color. Find more information and tickets here

JULLY LEE will be in the production of THE NIGHT OF THE IGUANA at Boston Court Pasadena this Fall.

Kathryn Ryan’s one-act play “An Order Of Redemption With A Side of Fries” was presented at the Valdez Theatre Conference in June. Her short play “Much Ado About A Bunch Of Stuff” was part of the Valdez Fringe. In August, her one-act “What Help Looks Like” will be featured in The Ritz Theatre Company’s 2025 One-Act Play Festival. Click here for tickets
