Company in the News June 2026

See what PlayGround-NY Writers and Company Members are up to this month including: Dana Leslie Goldstein, Tia Cassmira, Howard Ho, Kathryn Ryan, Austin Ku, and Bram Hartman!

Tia Cassmira is resident company member or Broken Box Mime who is prepping for their first long-form MainStage show! MYTH is the culmination of many months of work by our resident ensemble. We asked: what would a full-length, long-form narrative look like in BKBX’s signature style of contemporary mime? What images and themes require a show of this scale? One Ursula K. Le Guin bookclub later, MYTH is an epic, yet intimate story that dares audiences to imagine flora and fauna of a foreign planet, and invites us to all recognize ourselves in what seems – at first – to reside in a galaxy far, far away.
Snag your tickets for our First Look Weekend, which will run at the end of June at the inimitable Target Margin Theater in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. $25. Click HERE for tickets.
