Angel Katthi is directing a staged reading at The Actors Theater Workshop on 8/5 at 4 PM. CODE OF CONDUCT is a new play that draws inspiration from Mamet’s Oleanna, updated for 2026. Feminist Economics professor Dr. Emily Lawson invites Aidan to office hours regarding the radical conservative ideas he included in a class assignment. When she attempts to fail him, he ignites a national media firestorm that threatens to strip Emily of the future she fought to build. Beneath it, a student is dead and both of them know why. This is not simply a story about liberal or conservative doctrine – it is an investigation of institutions that weaponize rhetoric, inducting both students and faculty alike into ideological warfare.
