Danielle E. Moore’s short comedy “These White Men Are Dangerous,” originally developed and featured in PlayGround-NY’s November 2023 “The Legacy of the Land We Inhabit” installment, has been named the winner of the January 2024 Kumu Kahua Theater and Bamboo Ridge Press PlayWrite competition. Todd Cerveris is currently in rehearsal for A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE at Long Wharf Theatre in New Haven, Feb 10 – Mar 10.

Nathaniel P. Claridad’s production of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” at Weathervane Theatre was nominated for 9 New Hampshire Theatre Awards including Outstanding Production of a Play and won for Best Scenic Design (Rien Schlecht). Upcoming projects include workshopping a new piece by James Caverly (“Only Murders in the Building”) and Andrew Morrill entitled “Trash” for Out of the Box Productions. Readings are open to the public from Feb. 5 – 8.

Madi Fabber has been selected for The Workshop Theater’s 2024 Winter Writer’s Intensive with her play Best In Show!
Dana Leslie Goldstein’s full-length play GO DOWN, MOSES will be presented in several locations in Southern Florida by the Yiddishkayt Initiative. Dana’s short play THE GOD PART will be produced by Ensemble Theatre of Chattanooga (TN) in their Short Attention Span Theatre Festival. Dana’s short play UNDISCOVERED COUNTRY will be presented by Imagine Arts in Indiana, as well as by Jersey Voices at the Chatham Performing Arts Center in New Jersey.

Jully Lee will be in the industry presentation of CHINESE REPUBLICANS by Alex Lin, directed by Chay Yew on February 15. This reading is part of “Roundabout Underground,” presented at the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre.

Lyra Nalan will be having a staged reading of her play PAPER DREAM at Museum of Chinese in America on March 9th, 3-5pm. RSVP here.

Rachael Richman is excited to share the premiere of feature film The Karamazovs at the New York Indie Theatre and Film Festival on February 16th at 8pm. Part murder mystery part spiritual quest, The Karamazovs began as an ensemble-devised theater piece performed at The New Ohio Theatre, and in response to the pandemic was developed into a new film inspired by the novel. Kathryn Ryan’s short play, SEVEN-POINT-FIVE, ON AVERAGE, which was developed as part of PlayGround-NY’s 2022-2023 season, will be included in PlayZoomer’s Imperfect Love program on Friday February 16th at 7:30 PM EST and Saturday February 17th at 9:30 PM EST. Tickets are available here.
