Nathaniel P. Claridad is currently the City Center Encores Directing Fellow, in association with The Drama League, for the 2024/2025 season. He is assisting on Urinetown, directed by Teddy Bergman, which opens February 5. Melinda Gros’s play A Happy Child is making waves this spring, featured in an incredible five festivals: Barrington Stage’s 10×10 Festival, Theatre Three’s One-Act Play Festival, Eden Prairie Players Women’s One Acts+, Authenticity’s Authentic 10 Showcase, and The Windmill Performing Arts Center. This powerful piece explores the relationship between a mother and her estranged adult child, with the character’s gender left open—allowing for five unique interpretations by different directors.

Patience Haggin’s play Titus Covidius had a reading with Tiger’s Heart Players this January. The script was first brought to life by PlayGround New York company members during the Shakespeare Multiverse Festival—a full-circle moment!
