Danielle E. Moore’s musical “Audrey” recently made its Philadelphia debut in MusiCoLab’s June 24th showcase at the Drake. Her new musical “Ink & Paint” will have the first part of its West Coast developmental premiere on July 5th and 6th at the Santa Monica Playhouse, followed by a SheLA festival engagement at West Hollywood’s Zephyr Theatre on July 17th and 20th. Tickets are available for both the live performance and a video viewable after the performance here. The piece is also currently a semifinalist for Wild Imaginings’ Epiphanies New Works Festival, and has been selected for an in-person presentation at the Musical Writers Festival Pitch Night in Dallas, TX on July 12th. Danielle was also recently named the recipient of a Musical Writers / SheNYC Scholarship to attend the event.
Jully Lee will be at the Eugene O’Neill Musical Theatre Conference in Waterford, CT (July 1 – 14) working on “SOFT MAGICAL TOFU BOYS” by Kevin Wong, directed by Mei Ann Teo. More info here.
Bailey Jordan Garcia is receiving two productions of their play “Thanks for the Mammaries!” (developed at Playground-NY) this summer! One is at the Lights Out festival in Florida from July 19th-28th. More info here. The other is at The Henderson One-Act Play Festival in North Carolina running from August 23rd-25th. More info here. Nathaniel Claridad just closed “Beautiful” at the Weathervane Theatre in New Hampshire and is currently in “What the Constitution Means to Me” (running until July 6). Tickets are here. He will return in late August to direct their production of “Romeo and Juliet” (running Sept 18 – 27).
