Company in the News November-2025

See what PlayGround-NY Writers and Company Members are up to this November including Julia Brothers, Lyra Nalan, Howard Ho, Jackson Bradshaw.
Julia Brothers is playing Sister Aloysius Beauvier in Doubt at Florida Rep through Nov 16th. Aside from getting to do this extraordinary play and role, it is doubly meaningful because Julia’s father, John Brothers, performed at this theatre a few times before he died in 2014. “He’ll be watching and I’m going to make him proud!”
Lyra Nalan’s commissioned new play with Silk Road Rising Cultural Center will have a public staged-reading in Chicago. Framed by Robert Frost’s beloved poem “The Road Not Taken,” Road Less Traveled intertwines the lives of Frost and Chinese American trailblazer, Tye Leung Schulze. Set in the early twentieth century, these two iconoclastic figures appear in distinct yet parallel worlds as they wrestle with choices, consequences, and meanings.
