Place: Brooklyn, New York.
At Rise: an outdoor Public space.
Bebe Nelson (Female, 50’s) and Emmett Barr (Male, 50’s) are sitting at a table, and are seated across from each other.
EMMETT
…What do you think he wants to talk to us about?
BEBE
…I have no idea.
(Emmett thinks for a moment.)
EMMETT
…He didn’t say anything when you spoke with him over the phone?
BEBE
…He did not.
EMMETT
…Well what exactly did he say?
BEBE
…He exactly said he wanted to talk to us?
EMMETT
…And that’s all he said?
BEBE
…That’s all he said.
EMMETT
…What could this be about?
BEBE
…It could be about a number of things. What did he say to you?
(Emmett thinks for a moment.)
EMMETT
…He left a voicemail saying he wants to talk to us.
BEBE
…How were things, the last time you two were together?

BEBE
…Things are never fine between you two.
