Bram Hartman‘s new one act play, THE SOUND OF BEING FOUND, will premiere in February at the Chain Theatre’s Winter One Act Festival. Bram will direct. Synopsis: “After a one-night stand in a Manhattan apartment, Kevin and Hugo’s flirtation turns volatile as politics, privilege, and undocumented survival collide. Alex Shafer is in a mini-series called THE ARTIST, with Mandy Patinkin, Janet McTeer, Hank Hazaria, Patty LuPone, and others. They play John D. Rockefeller. It’s on a network called “The Network.” Watch a clip HERE!
Angel Katthi is directing a short play, MAGGIE AND GEORGE AND THE TARGET, for The Chain Theater’s One-Act festival. Shows are on Feb 6th, 8th & 10th, part of program #3. More information available HERE!

Bailey Jordan Garcia‘s play, THANKS FOR THE MAMMARIES!, which originated at Playground-NY in 2023, will be a part of the Winter 2026 Queens Short Play Festival! Synopsis: After years of wrestling with the decision, Bailey faces the challenge of having to fire their worst employees — their boobs. And these breasts, who act like two vaudevillian old men, won’t go down without a fight.” And, for the first time, Bailey will be playing themself in the play! Kathryn Ryan‘s short play, NIGHTMARES SPRING FROM AMERICAN DREAMS, will be included in the upcoming anthology BEST 10-MINUTE PLAYS 2026, published by Smith & Kraus. The book will be available in the fall. The play also has been selected for presentation at the Mid-America Theatre Conference, happening in March.
