Company in the News May 2026

Angel Katthi is directing FIRST GRADE, a ten-minute play for The Making It Happen theater festival at The Theater Center May 6th at 7pm. It is a finalist in the play festival, top 6 out of 200 submissions for the festival. Come vote for her play to win the completion on the 6th!

Howard Ho’s play PARITY will have a reading at Caltech’s MACH 33 Festival on May 13th. It will be directed by Sandra Tsing Loh with science advising by Caltech faculty member Clifford Cheung. PARITY Synopsis: Parity was a law of physics until a Chinese American woman at Columbia University in the 1950s disproved it against all odds. This is the true story of Chien-Shiung Wu 吴健雄 AKA the First Lady of Physics and the Queen of Nuclear Research. The only ceiling she cared about was our understanding of the universe, but along the way she broke through many more.

Kathryn Ryan’s MIA, MYSELF, AND A.I. will be included in the upcoming Argo Short Play Festival in Huntington Station, NY on May 22-23-24 @7PM. The festival is being produced by Argonaut, a women-owned film and theatre collective. Find us on Instagram!

Charlique C. Rolle chosen as selected participant for Stowe Story Lab’s 2026 Spring Producers’ Lab. She also created, producing and performing a one-night-only pop-up performance, “”boomerang“” in Chicago on May 4, 2026.

Austin Ku (NY Acting and Directing company member) is currently service as Directing Observer (Virtual) for East West Players’ revival of “Flower Drum Song,” playing 4/16-5/31 in L.A.

Dana Leslie Goldstein’s full-length play GO DOWN, MOSES will have its premiere this month, produced by Unlimited Stages at the Gural Theatre (ART/NY). Directed by Brandon M. Weber, with a cast led by Terence Archie (Rocky, Ragtime), previews start May 13th.
